Good afternoon everyone.
I hope that you were all able to enjoy your well-deserved long weekend. Fortunately, it looks as if the predicted snow this week is not going to materialize and that the worst of the winter weather is behind us—fingers crossed!
Thank you all for your flexibility and patience during our snow closures and delays. We recognize that these decisions can have a major impact on our students, staff and families, however, we will always put safety first.
I especially want to thank our outstanding maintenance, transportation and security staff who braved the elements to drive the roads in the wee hours of the morning so that we could make the most informed decision possible and made sure that our parking lots and walkways were safe.
We do have five snow/emergency days built into our collective bargaining agreements and plan to make them up at the end of the school year. We will be sharing more details on this soon, but I wanted you to be aware so you can plan accordingly.
Thank you everyone.
