Online Enrollment

In January 2020 we are implementing paperless online enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. Students who are already enrolled in our system will not be required to complete new enrollment applications if they move to a different school within our system.

Families enrolling for the 2019-20 school year will continue to complete paper enrollment.

Families will enroll through ParentVUE. Once a family enrolls, school office staff will be able to view incoming students and confirm their enrollment within Synergy. There will be no need for staff to input data manually.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is online enrollment?

Online enrollment will be used in place of paper enrollment to increase enrollment access to families and minimize data entry for school staff. Families will enroll students in ParentVUE. Once a family submits an application for enrollment, school staff will be able to view, verify and finalize enrollments through Synergy.

When are we launching online enrollment?

In January 2020 we are implementing paperless online enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. Students who are already enrolled in our system will not be required to complete new enrollment applications if they move to a different school within our system.

Families enrolling mid-year for the current school year will continue to complete enrollment on paper.

What changes have been made in moving from paper enrollment to online enrollment?

Families will use ParentVUE to enroll online. Schools will review enrollments in Synergy once an enrollment application has been submitted by a family. Once approved by office staff, enrollment will electronically be entered into Synergy and office staff will not need to manually input enrollment data.

My school shares school-specific forms with families when they enroll. How will I share this information if families are not required to come to the school to enroll?

Each family will be required to provide an email in order to enroll their student using ParentVUE. We recommend sending school-specific information through email. You may also consider sharing this information at welcome events, family meetings and other school events.

How will families submit required enrollment documentation?

Families can scan or take a picture of the required documentation and upload it into ParentVUE. Families also have the option to check a box indicating that they will bring documentation to the school to complete their student's enrollment.

Will families have the option to select which school they would like to attend or will school selection be based on the student’s home address?

Online enrollment will be based on the student's home address. School staff will still be required to verify proof of address documentation in order to complete enrollment.

Will there be in-person staff training opportunities? If so, where and when? How do I sign up?

We will offer in-person training for staff after winter break. We are currently working on a training schedule, and plan to have more information on the training details will be available later in December.

How will online enrollment impact kindergarten enrollment?

Online enrollment will be available on January 21, 2020 to coincide with kindergarten enrollment for the 2020-21 school year. Incoming kindergarten families will enroll online using ParentVUE. After a kindergarten family successfully enrolls online, we recommend school staff email supplemental kindergarten documents that have traditionally been provided in-person. The PreK and Elementary Success Department will have kindergarten welcome letter, jump start flyers and K readiness forms available in both print and electronic format for schools to use.

What changes have been made to moving from paper enrollment to online enrollment?

Online Enrollment will encompass all  previous supplemental forms including health history, emergency card information, etc. The data on each of these forms will be electronically captured through the online enrollment process.
