This year cabinet members are stepping into the shoes of students. Over the course of the year, each cabinet member will spend three school days shadowing a different student each day. The goal is to connect more deeply with the experience our students have at school and get a clearer picture of the daily life of our staff. We'll share a snippet of their experiences and insights here.
Last week I was fortunate to follow a dynamic young scholar through his day at Evergreen High School. Jaden Truong is a bright and engaged learner who actively participates in classroom discussions and exercises.
I must admit I was intimidated by Jaden's grasp of chemistry! Jaden shared that his favorite class is Leadership because students get to serve the school and the community.
I was thoroughly impressed with the educators at Evergreen. The teachers each had their own style for connecting with students—from a heated periodic table trivia battle in Mr. Turnberg’s chemistry class to watching Mr. Lee’s fried rice demonstration in culinary arts.
The students and staff at Evergreen High School are welcoming, connected, and caring.
