On Friday, July 2, all EmpowerED T-Mobile hotspots assigned to students will be placed in hibernation mode as they will no longer be used. All T-Mobile 10Million hotspots assigned to students will transition from unlimited data to 100gb/month between July and September, when they will revert back to unlimited.
Department of Technology Services has asked schools to exchange EmpowerED T-Mobile hotspots for T-Mobile 10Million hotspots. If students need to exchange their hotspot to have internet access over the summer, they need to exchange their EmpowerED hotspot for a T-Mobile 10Million hotspot at their summer school’s office or at Woodside, 18367 8th Ave S Des Moines, WA 98148, on Wednesdays between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.
If students do not need a hotspot during summer break, the hotspot should be returned to their school’s office or to Woodside, 18367 8th Ave S Des Moines, WA 98148 (on Wednesdays).
In September, T-Mobile 10Million student hotspots will revert back to unlimited data, and schools can resume submitting requests for student hotspots.
