State law allows for sick leave cash out to be available annually during the month of January, but only for days accumulated during the preceding year. Employees who have earned more than 60 days of accumulated sick leave may cash out those days earned but unused during the 2020 calendar year--January 1, 2020 through December 31, 2020.
You may only cash out the number of sick leave days you have accumulated and not used during the previous calendar year, if in excess of 60 days; and for each four days you cash out, you will receive pay for one.
The Cash Out Form needs to be received by Payroll no later than January 29, 2021.
